    Prof Fred McBagonluri's Bio

    Professor Fred McBagonluri is the Provost and President of Academic City University College in Ghana, as well as Board Chairman of the Institute of ICT Professionals Ghana (IIPGH). With over two decades of global experience in engineering, innovation, research, and leadership, he is at the forefront of transforming Africa’s higher education landscape through technology and entrepreneurship.
     
    Fred has built a distinguished career across industry and academia. In the United States, he held senior positions at global companies including Siemens Healthcare, Joerns Healthcare, and Becton Dickinson, where he led cutting-edge R&D and business strategy initiatives. He was instrumental in Siemens Medical’s digital manufacturing revolution, and his contributions span fields such as computer-aided design, artificial intelligence, 3D data processing, and advanced hearing systems. He holds over 40 patents and was recognized as the Black Engineer of the Year’s Most Promising Scientist in 2008, and as a NASA Astronaut Candidate Program finalist in 2009.
     
    His academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Materials Engineering from the University of Dayton, a Master of Science in Engineering Science and Mechanics from Virginia Tech, a Bachelor of Science (Summa Cum Laude) in Manufacturing Engineering with a minor in Applied Mathematics from Central State University, and an MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) as a Sloan Fellow.
     
    Today, Fred’s work is centred on building a world-class, STEAM-focused university in Ghana that blends hands-on innovation with strong academic rigor. His vision is to nurture a new generation of African leaders who will help reshape the continent’s narrative through knowledge creation and transformative impact.

    Charles Murito's Bio

    Charles Murito is Google’s Regional Director, Government Affairs & Policy for Sub-Saharan Africa. He leads engagement with governments and regulators to promote digital transformation through progressive policies that drive inclusive economic growth.
     
    Prior to this role, Charles served for nearly six years as Google’s Country Director for Kenya, and in 2019, also held the position of interim Country Director for South Africa. During his time in these roles, he led efforts to achieve ambitious sales and revenue targets while championing sustainable growth strategies across emerging markets. He also took on the role of Diversity and Inclusion Lead for Google’s EMEA Emerging Markets, collaborating with global teams to build a more equitable and inclusive organisation.
     
    With over 20 years of experience in technology, media, and entertainment, Charles has held leadership roles at major global companies such as MTV Base, Warner Bros., and Turner Broadcasting.
     
    In addition to his work at Google, Charles is a Non-Executive Board Director at Absa Bank Kenya, and a Co-Chair of the B20 Digital Taskforce. He previously served on the board of CSquared, a Google portfolio company focused on improving internet infrastructure in Africa.
     
    Outside the professional arena, Charles is passionate about art, food, farming, and using technology as a force for economic development and societal progress.

    Professor Nii Narku Quaynor's Bio

    Professor Nii Narku Quaynor is a Ghanaian scientist and engineer celebrated as a pioneer of Africa’s Internet development. A graduate of Dartmouth College and the State University of New York at Stony Brook, he returned to Ghana in the early 1990s to establish some of the continent’s first Internet connections and found key organisations such as AfNOG and AfriNIC.
     
    He is Chairman of Ghana Dot Com and Network Computer Systems, and has served in global leadership roles including ICANN Director for Africa, Commissioner for the Global Commission on Internet Governance, and member of the UN Secretary-General’s Advisory Group on ICT. He also helped found the University of Cape Coast’s Computer Science Department, where he continues as a professor.
     
    Prof. Nii Quaynor’s contributions have earned global recognition, including induction into the Internet Hall of Fame, the Jonathan B. Postel Service Award, and the ICANN Multi-stakeholder Ethos Award. His work continues to shape Africa’s digital future through technology, policy, and education.

    Prof Amevi Acakpovi's Bio

    Engr. Prof. Amevi Acakpovi is the Acting Vice-Chancellor of Accra Technical University, where he has served in various academic and leadership roles for over 15 years. A distinguished scholar in electrical and electronic engineering, he has taught and supervised research at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and serves as an external assessor for institutions including Ghana Technology University College and the University of Abomey-Calavi in Benin. His research and academic work span applied energy systems, electronics, and telecommunications.
     
    Prof. Acakpovi is a Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and serves as Head of the Electrical Division at the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), Ghana. He is also the elected Vice President of the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) Ghana Chapter and acts as a consultant to the Ghana Standards Authority, contributing to the review and development of national electrotechnical standards.
     
    At the continental level, Prof. Acakpovi chairs Technical Committee 77 on Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC), reporting to the African Electrotechnical Standardization Commission (AFSEC) under the African Union. Through his leadership in academia, engineering, and standardisation, he continues to influence policy, education, and technological advancement in Ghana and across Africa.

    Christopher Lalusha's Bio

    Christopher Lalusha is the Director of ICT at the National Pensions Scheme Authority in Zambia, with over 18 years of experience in enterprise IT governance and financial systems management. Known for his focus on digital innovation, Christopher has played a pivotal role in transforming the organisation’s IT infrastructure and driving business success through cutting-edge technology solutions.

    His expertise spans systems engineering, database management, and digital transformation, making him a key figure in Zambia’s IT sector.

    Clarence Gama's Bio

    Clarence Gama is a distinguished technology leader and the Chief Executive Officer of NICO Technologies Ltd in Malawi. With over eight years at the helm, he has steered the company toward delivering cutting-edge IT solutions across diverse sectors, combining strategic vision with a strong commitment to innovation, efficiency, and client satisfaction.
     
    Before his role at NICO Technologies, Mr Gama served as Country Service Manager at IBM, where he refined his capabilities in project execution, team leadership, and customer engagement. His experience in managing complex, high-impact projects has positioned him as a trusted voice in the region’s growing digital economy.
     
    Mr Gama holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology from the University of Malawi. His academic background, coupled with deep industry experience, fuels his mission to drive technological excellence and contribute meaningfully to Africa’s digital transformation journey.

    Dr Clement Sinyangwe's Bio

    Dr Clement Mulenga Sinyangwe is the Head of ICT at Chalimbana University and the President of the ICT Association of Zambia (ICTAZ). With over 20 years of experience, he has been instrumental in shaping Zambia’s ICT landscape. Clement holds a BSc (Hons) in Computing, MSc in Computer Science, MBA, and numerous ICT certifications.

     

    He is currently pursuing a PhD and co-chairs Zambia’s ICT and Digitalisation Technical Working Group under the Public-Private Dialogue Forum. Clement is a passionate advocate for ICT ethics, professionalism, and governance, and a frequent speaker at conferences.

    David Gowu's Bio

    David Gowu is a distinguished digital transformation leader with extensive experience in information and communication technology (ICT). As President of Technology Information Confederation Africa (TICON Africa), David empowers the African tech community through conferences, research and development, education, and networking events, significantly contributing to the region’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

     

    He has been instrumental in shaping Ghana’s digital landscape. As the CEO of INNGEN, he supports businesses with IT resource planning and talent management across major IT domains. His expertise includes IT outsourcing, strategic human resource planning, and digital skills.

     

    David holds key positions in esteemed organisations. As the Executive Director of the Institute of ICT Professionals Ghana (IIPGH), his leadership and strategic vision have advanced IIPGH’s goals, promoting excellence and professionalism in the ICT industry. Under his guidance, the institute has witnessed remarkable growth and recognition for its contributions to Ghana’s digital transformation. His commitment to fostering collaboration between industry stakeholders and academia has facilitated the development of a robust ICT ecosystem in Ghana.

     

    Known for his expertise in ICT, David advocates for adopting innovative technologies and digital solutions. He has spearheaded initiatives to bridge the digital divide, enhance digital literacy, and promote entrepreneurship and cybersecurity in the ICT sector.

    Desmond Israel's Bio

    Desmond Israel, Esq. is a seasoned legal expert and thought leader in the intersection of law, technology, and security. As a Partner at AGNOS Legal Company in Ghana, he specializes in the legal, ethical, and policy dimensions of artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, global data privacy, and emerging technologies. He holds a Master of Laws (LLM) in National Security and Cybersecurity from The George Washington University Law School, where he was a GW Law Merit Scholar.
     
    With over 15 years of experience, Desmond has advised leading institutions across the banking, public, and private sectors on critical areas including vulnerability management, incident response, and ISO 27001/2 compliance. He is widely respected for his ability to translate intricate regulations into actionable strategies that mitigate risk and enhance trust.
     
    Driven by a mission to showcase the real-world value of cybersecurity and data privacy investments, Desmond continues to lead conversations around digital trust, responsible innovation, and secure digital transformation.

    Elizabeth Chabaluka's Bio

    Elizabeth Chabaluka is a prominent IT professional and Manager of IT Service Delivery at NICO Technologies LTD in Malawi. With a Master’s in Business Administration from ESAMI and a Bachelor’s degree in Computing and Information Systems, Elizabeth plays a pivotal role in improving service management and operational efficiency in the telecommunications sector. 

    She also serves as the Treasurer General for the Information Communication and Technology Association of Malawi (ICTAM). Known for her dedication to mentorship, Elizabeth is involved in initiatives like GovTech, where she imparts her knowledge to aspiring professionals, ensuring the development of future IT leaders in Malawi. 

    Florin Grigorescu's Bio

    Mr Florin Grigorescu is the Head of Academic Alliance for EMEA at UiPath, where he leads strategic partnerships with universities and educational institutions to advance automation and digital skills across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. With a strong background in software automation and education, Florin is committed to empowering the next generation of tech professionals through accessible, industry-aligned learning opportunities.
     
    Florin brings a passion for innovation and efficiency to every initiative. He is a continuous learner who thrives in dynamic environments, consistently seeking out new ways to drive value through collaboration and technology. His leadership is grounded in practical experience and a deep understanding of how automation can transform both business and education.
     
    At the core of Florin’s work is a belief in the power of respectful, adaptive communication. Through his role at UiPath, he continues to inspire institutions, educators, and students alike to embrace the future of work with confidence and purpose.

    Dr. Greg Chola Nsofu's Bio

    Dr. Greg Chola Nsofu is the Director of Information and Communication Technology at the Bank of Zambia, bringing over two decades of experience in ICT leadership, banking, and national institutions. His career began in academia before moving into senior technology roles at IZAZI Solutions, Transnet Limited, and Standard Bank Group, where he led major innovation and trade finance programmes.
     
    From 2015 to 2021, he served as CIO at the National Pension Scheme Authority, driving large-scale digital transformation. He has also held leadership positions beyond ICT, including Board Chairman of NAPSA Stars Football Club and Non-Executive Director at MTN Zambia. Today, he also serves on the boards of the Zambia Electronic Clearing House and Kapasa Makasa University.
     
    Dr. Nsofu holds a BSc in Computer Mathematics from the University of Zambia, a Postgraduate qualification in Business Administration from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, an MPhil in Economics Policy, and a PhD in Business Administration from Stellenbosch University. He is passionate about leveraging technology to enhance financial systems, promote inclusion, and shape Africa’s digital future.
     
     

    Isaac Gwumah's Bio

    Isaac Gwumah is a seasoned management consultant whose expertise spans marketing, market research, private sector development, and project monitoring and evaluation. As Executive Director of the Bureau of Market & Social Research, he has led and delivered numerous high-impact commercial research projects for leading organisations including MTN, Tigo, Samsung, Diageo (Guinness Ghana Brewery Ltd), Nutrifoods Ghana Ltd, UBA, Olam Ghana Ltd, UNICEF, and more.
     
    His work has also extended to socio-economic research for a range of international development agencies, contributing valuable insights that shape business and policy decisions.
     
    Passionate about knowledge transfer, Isaac has taught Strategy and Research modules at Central University College and the University of Applied Management (Accra Campus). He currently serves as the Examiner for the Market Research and Insights course at the Chartered Institute of Marketing, Ghana, shaping the next generation of marketing professionals.

    Joice Benza's Bio

    Joice Benza is the founder, Managing Consultant, and CEO of X-Pert Solutions, specializing in business strategy, ICT strategies and solutions, cybersecurity, and project management. With a history as a Senior ICT Executive and Chief Information Officer, she has successfully achieved digital transformation through implementing ERPs, CRM, cybersecurity, and other business systems.

     

    Joice has expertise in business process improvement, user requirements specification, and integration architecture roadmaps. She and her team have formulated ICT and digital strategies for corporations, focusing on post-COVID-19 frameworks. A Big Data analytics and AI expert, she assists clients in defining transformed composability frameworks.

     

    As a seasoned project management trainer, Joice leads X-Pert Solutions in taking on management contracts, running client ICT departments, and upskilling ICT managers and staff. She has over 35 years of experience across private and public sectors, with special emphasis on insurance, pensions, microfinance, banking, and manufacturing.

     

    Joice is also involved in ICT audits, business continuity planning, and cybersecurity. She sits on the AFC Insurance Board and is the current President of the Computer Society of Zimbabwe (CSZ).

    Kelvin Lotsu's Bio

    Kelvin Lotsu is a versatile professional with a unique blend of experience across business development, marketing, IT systems, compliance, and brand communication. With a pan-African outlook, he drives user engagement, forges strategic partnerships, and leads high-impact marketing initiatives tailored to local audiences across diverse markets. 

     

    Over the past decade, he has served in several roles where he has overseen compliance functions, led internal communications efforts, developed multimedia content, and maintained critical IT infrastructure. His work has consistently demonstrated a balance of analytical precision, creative problem-solving, and operational efficiency. 

     

    Kelvin is also an entrepreneur at heart. He leads a growing consumer-focused venture in the natural beverage space, overseeing product development, quality assurance, and market expansion. His approach combines a deep respect for local resources with a forward-thinking mindset, ensuring both authenticity and innovation in every aspect of the business. 

    Me Mapule Ncanywa's Bio

    Mapule Ncanywa is the Chairperson of the BRICS Business Council Working Group on Skills Development, Applied Technology and Innovation, where she plays a pivotal role in shaping collaborative strategies for upskilling youth across the BRICS nations. She leads one of the Council’s flagship initiatives, the BRICS Future Skills Challenge, bringing together young talent aged 18 to 35 from Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa to develop practical solutions to real-world problems through skills-based competition.
     
    With a strong background in youth empowerment and innovation, Mapule previously headed Naspers Labs, a programme focused on tackling youth unemployment through digital skills development and entrepreneurial support. Her work has consistently bridged the gap between policy, private sector collaboration, and practical implementation in the skills development space.

    Dr Mark-Oliver Kevor's Bio

    Dr Mark-Oliver Kevor serves as the Director General of the National IT Agency under Ghana’s Ministry of Communications, Digital Technology and Innovation. A leading voice in the country’s technology policy and governance landscape, he plays a pivotal role in shaping national strategies for digital transformation and cybersecurity, ensuring Ghana remains at the forefront of Africa’s evolving digital economy.
     
    Beyond his government role, Dr Kevor is actively engaged in academia as a member of the University Senate and Council, and he shares his expertise by teaching courses on telecommunications and information security. His commitment to advancing digital knowledge extends to his board position at the National Communications Authority and his contributions as a member of the UN Group of Government Experts in Cybersecurity.
     
    Dr Kevor’s research interests lie in knowledge management systems, ICT applications for SMEs, telecommunications services, and information security. His extensive experience across policy, academia, and research uniquely positions him to bridge gaps between technology innovation, regulatory frameworks, and capacity building for sustainable digital growth.

    Hon Mohammed Adams Sukparu's Bio

    Hon. Mohammed Adams Sukparu is Ghana’s Deputy Minister for Communication, Digital Technology & Innovations, where he spearheads policies and initiatives driving the country’s digital transformation. He plays a key role in the Digital Ghana Agenda, advancing broadband expansion, capacity-building programs like the One Million Coders Programme, and major investments such as the Ghana–UAE Innovation and Technology Hub.

     

    His leadership emphasises reducing dependence on imported technologies while empowering local innovators and strengthening the nation’s tech ecosystem. At national and international forums, Hon. Sukparu is a strong advocate for aligning technology, marketing, and policy to amplify Africa’s global image. He has also advanced cybersecurity frameworks and initiatives through the Ghana Investment Fund for Electronic Communications (GIFEC) to support startups and digital inclusion.

     

    Through initiatives like National ICT Week 2025, Hon. Sukparu continues to spotlight Ghana’s dynamic tech landscape and youth-driven innovation. His efforts have cemented Ghana’s reputation as a fast-emerging digital hub, positioning the country as a model for Africa’s digital future.

    Kafui Amanfu's Bio

    Richard Kafui Amanfu is a seasoned Technology Consultant with over 16 years of experience in the ICT and telecommunications industries. As a founding member of the Institute of ICT Professionals Ghana (IIPGH) and a Senior Professional Member of the Institute of Information Management (IIM) Africa, he has played a vital role in promoting digital transformation across West Africa. 

     

    His expertise spans project and operations management, digital transformation, and ICT education.
