Richard Kafui Amanfu is a seasoned technology consultant and a driving force in Ghana’s digital transformation. As the newly appointed Executive Director of the Institute of ICT Professionals Ghana (IIPGH), he brings over 16 years of experience in the ICT and telecommunications industry, with expertise spanning project management, digital literacy, and strategic operations.
Through his leadership at the IIPGH, Richard is instrumental in mobilising a nationwide network of ICT professionals, advancing digital skills development, and spearheading initiatives that bridge the gap between academia and industry. His efforts foster innovation, strengthen Ghana’s tech ecosystem, and expand opportunities for young professionals in the digital economy.
Beyond IIPGH, Richard has played a major role in promoting digital literacy and coding education. His work has introduced thousands of young Ghanaians to coding and digital skills, ensuring the next generation is equipped for future opportunities in the tech sector.
Richard’s commitment to public education extends to media advocacy, with over 350 published articles on technology in the Business and Financial Times, making him a key voice in shaping Ghana’s digital future.
Under his leadership, the IIPGH are set to drive national and regional digital transformation through various initiatives, fostering collaboration between academic and industry leaders.
