Lebo Khanda is a dynamic leader serving as the Secretary General of the Botswana Information Technology Society (BITS). With a strong background in both academia and the ICT sector, she plays a crucial role in bridging the gap between youth, academia, and professionals in the ICT space.  
 
Her efforts in facilitating research, training, and awareness for ICT professionals have significantly contributed to capacity building in Botswana. Through her work, she ensures that emerging professionals and seasoned experts alike are equipped with the skills needed to thrive in a rapidly evolving digital world. 
 
Lebo’s work spans various domains, including networking, software development, project management, and curriculum integration. She has collaborated across sectors such as agriculture, real estate, academia, and tourism, contributing to youth development and life skills.  
Her expertise in cybersecurity, digital literacy, and policy development adds value to Botswana’s ICT ecosystem, with a particular focus on the impact of climate change and AI on the domestic and continental ICT landscape.
 
With a Master’s Degree in Computer Systems Management, Lebo is passionate about enhancing the SMME value chain in Botswana through research and development initiatives.  
 
Her leadership at BITS is driven by her dedication to fostering innovation, technological growth, and a sustainable ICT ecosystem that benefits not only Botswana but the entire African continent.
